What is the value of this coin?

I have this coin on a necklace by Franklin Mint. Can you tell me the value? Do you think the date on this is from the 60s? Should it be insured?

The reference I have only covers 1975 - 1979 and those were made of 18kt gold and Silver with 24kt gold plating. Is there any writing on the edge?
