Farrukhabad Rupee

Hallo Forumleden,

Ik ben nieuw op deze site en dit is voor mij de eerste keer dat ik iets van mij laat horen.

Op marktplaats heb ik laatst een groot lot munten gekocht van iemand uit diverse landen en er zat ook een rupee bij.
Nu heb ik op internet gezocht maar kon niet de juiste munt vinden.De munt lijkt het meest op een Bengal Presidency, East India Company (Shah Alam II)
Rupee, AH-//45 (1820-31?), Farrukhabad, etc.

De munt is 27mm in doorsnee en weegt 11,2 gram.
Op de munthouder staat waar de munt vandaan komt maar weet niet of dit helemaal juist is.
Zijn er misschien mensen die meer van deze munt weten?

The Rupee looks to be mint in Murshidabad. Compare to this one

The mint name is on the right photo in the lower third of the coin. It seems to be the same as on yours.
The date is AH1202//19, but it's a "frozen" date, so it won't tell much. The coin was mint under British East India Company, Bengal Presidency, probably at end of 18th or beginning of 19th century.
