Hello again, This coin was sitting in a safe for many decades. Upon looking at it it appears to have a hole, as if to wear on a chain, that was filled. I'm guessing this kills the value? I'm also guessing it was filled a long time ago because it isn't all that worn for an old coin. But really I just don't know. Any opinions would be welcome
I think this is a coin that is quite looked after so it is quite easy to sell these so to my guesss is that the ex jewelry mount makes it decrease by one grade from XF to VF. So yes its value decreases but as it's a desirable coin only by a certain amount. The picture quality is not the best but it looks as though it has formed a nice toning that seems rather desirable, so it probably wasn´t touched too much in the past few years.
