Hi Numista Community,

First of all, thank you to the community and the developers for creating this platform. I’m new around here and would like to know how I can search for circulating Australian coins.
So far, my searches only show uncirculated coins. My collection is based on circulating ones, so I’m wondering if I’m missing a filter or using the search incorrectly.

If you want, I can also help you phrase it more formally, more casually, or more concise depending on the style you prefer.

It includes sterling and decimal and goes from British colonial times til now. You can further limit your search by using filters on the Search page.

Thank you very much. I managed to refine the filters even further after clicking the link you shared. However, it would be great if you could please walk me through the query/filtering process to make Numista show only circulating coins. I initially thought it was the “Type” option in the advanced search, but it seems that’s not the case.

Unfortunately you can't remove the non-circulating coins from a page. If you take this one for example:

N#904

you have all kinds of finishes, including circulating, specimen, etc. You get the whole page and unfortunately can't filter out the junk. I would love to be able to filter all that stuff out!

Your default initial search is everything:

You can change your default search by first selecting what you want to search then locking in those search filters.

You can change the default anytime.
