yes, surely. - Nice question in the title: Ottoman? Egyptian?
The answer is: yes.
Now, let Krause clean up the mess after himself ;) : It is an OTTOMAN coin by definition minted in Egypt(Misr)

so?

Right answer:
historically Ottoman, so WRONG entry;... but of course Krause knows better, so it is Egyptian!
Yes there does seem to be a bit of tidying up to do. I don't pretend to know enough about Arabic text to be able to comment on their coins.

I would be happy to write a Numisdoc on Ottoman coin decoding, but why bother if it gets ignored and not published. Until times change, you can browse in here: http://www.osmanliparalari.com/Turkiye-Cum-MADENI-PARALARI,LA_1192-2.html#labels=1192-2

It is an online catalogue of all Ottoman coins and tokens (jetons) from the last 6 sultans to today, plus most of the earlier issues.
It is in Turkish only, but if you are perseverent you can manage. ;)

"Osmanli Madeni Paralari" means Ottoman Coins, that is what you need to click, then browse randomly...
Its Anglo-Egyptian, British occupied Egypt up until 1917 after the fall of the Ottoman Empire; the H is Heaton mint.
If you're interested, I've figured out the writing on the reverse:
"ضرب مصريه"
"Minted/struck in Egypt."

(And this is the specific page on the website Imreh linked to.)
Don't know about that - I'm telling you it's Heaton mint.

The British after their intervention reinstated in power in Egypt the former Ottoman vassal. In fact the fall of the Ottoman Empire happened after the 1st World War. The coin in question has on its obverse the Tughra, which is a calligraphic signature of the Ottoman Sultan. Thus this Qirsh is Egyptian, when the country was under Ottoman rule and British occupation.
For those of us who don't read Arabic, IMHO the easiest way to recognize a coin from Ottoman Egypt is to memorize the outline of the Arabic mint name, which is situated above the accession year and reads: Misr (Arabic word for Egypt).
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
Mark is also correct in pointing out that H is a mint mark of Heaton mint.
I won't be too far from the truth if I write that British mints until today produce coins for almost half of the world, which does not make all the countries which order their coins from British mints subjects of British monarchs.
