I can read in observe D N V?..... NUS PF AVG

If third letter is V, the coin is of one of the Valentinianus emperors. If you can read the third letter with the coin in hand and count the number of letters, is easy to know the name of the emperor and so the approximate date.

I cannot see anything in the reverse. Without reverse cannot be identified the type.

Diameter?

With some squinting and eye games I THINK I see [M]AN[OR]VM on the right side of the reverse, while the right hand side of the obverse (the top in your picture) reads NUS PF AVG.

I think I am reading the reverse wrong, as the reverse type of three emperors would have either Honorius, Arcadius or Theodosius II, neither of them ending in -NVS. Hm it's a hard one, it's really very worn.
I will re scan it and enlarge the areas where the lettering is if that will help
