Apologies, probably an easy one for some of you. The coin is 18mm across and weighs 1.22g. It also has a reeded edge but at about a 45-degree angle, and feels silver, maybe only a low percentage, not sure.

Just got curious about the price, saw one auction at the bottom…

Katz
Auction 96
Lot 2062

Is this an outlier or is the coin really worth that much?

Many thanks,

Everything worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it 🙂. That coin was sold for 200 €, which is definitely an outlier. If you check the other sales on the page, they are spread between 15 and 200 €.

I have a scan of an old, 2009 Krause cataloge and according to that, the older coins are considerably more expensive than the younger ones. It doesn't show any mintage though.
