        Any ideas as to what this thin 18-19mm x  17-18mm gem is?                              

No takers on my whatzit?  It appears to be silver, and I can't find it anywhere. Cute little thing though.

Try looking on zeno.ru, they specialise in those kinds of coins and their database is huge.
