Need some advice on grade of coin

Hey there - I bought this coin a few weeks ago and would like to have your advice on what grade it is; a coin collector friend of mine graded this coin much higher than I did.
 Problems are that there is an edge knock on the upper right side of the obverse, and on the reverse there are some scratches under the 0 of 50 - how much of an impact would that have on its value  ?
 Also, my last question - I was thinking about having this coin graded by NGC but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Do you guys think they would only grade it as (something details) due to the edge knock and scratches?

Easily well into EF, maybe EF+.

I'd recommend sending it to NGC, this coin and most Straits coins are highly sought over.

Thanks - so I think I'll send it to NGC. Although I am still waiting for 20 coins that I've send them on the 10th of January which haven't come back yet.
