Definitely Korean, possibly fake.

I think this one is cleaned like many cast coins. If you've ever seen glittery-gold cash coins from China you know what I'm talking about.

Again no chance for telling the exact coin?

The images are upside down for both the obverse and reverse. I see series number 3 and a 5, so I think this might be a 5 mun (5 cash, or 1/200 of a liang).

It is indeed a 5 mun. It says in Hanjia "equals 5" from right to left.

I really need to get reading. But I'm always happy to help with identifying your coins. If this coin is listed, you'll find it in Korea in the Country list. But since Korean mun are very scarce, let alone the machine struck coinage, it's likely you'll be adding the coin yourself.

List it as 5 Mun, with value 5 Mun, 0.005, and Cast Brass with the dimensions.

I looked up the KM#, it's KM#907. The character on the top appears to be 京 instead of 戸. The catalogue says 1888 but ever since I bought David Hartill's books I've (nearly) lost complete trust in the World Coin's cataloguing of Asian coinage, especially regarding dates and varieties.

There are 27 series numbers for this coin, and yours is number 3.    What an interesting coin you have.

Kommodore, I've seen fakes, and I'm leaning on the side of "not fake".

There are some very talented people out there who fake cash coins. I've never seen a fake Korean cast coin though.

Korean mun are scarce coins, so the price I'd give, if I knew it, would probably be lower than what people would pay/trade for it.

I've never seen the "capital" character on top, so I cannot name a price. I'd recommend looking it up on NGC.
