Joannes Paulus II Pont. Max. o.l. Czestochowa Ora Pro Nobis
ЦитатаThis is a commemorative medal issued when Pope John Paul II visited his homeland of Poland in 1983. It is in lovely, very lightly worn condition. A smiling John Paul is on the front and The Pieta is on the back.
Although it looks like a sterling coin, it is not. It is silver guilding over nickel metal. It measures 35mm in diameter. It has "Italy" on both sides. This is a very nice vintage religious keepsake of Pope John Paul II.
Hmm, it's a thought, but I think that would be the last option. After all, it was produced to commemorate his visit to Poland. It quite clearly says "Italy" on the medallion itself.

glorkarWon this on a lot on eBay. I'm going to add it as a token, but I'm not sure if I should consider it simply from Italy or from Vatican City. Thoughts?
