Hello, I have a coin in my collection which I can't identify. Its diameter is 16 mm and the material looks like a mixture of a bit silver (10%? 20%?) and copper. The coin is very thin and light.
Thanks for your help and a happy new year to all :-)
Michael
Judging from the alignment and the dodgy date and poor signature right of the toughra this is a token or fake coin possibly for bridal wear or belly dancing charm.
It is not even a fake, it is a low quality copy of an Ottoman coin, with no intension to be looking like the original. Both the Toughra (the Ottoman Sultan's stamp) and the description: "minted in Konstantinople" is imitated in a very low quality manner, not even attempting to look like the original, so it is probably a part of a headress or jewellery.
