Elder tokens

6 сообщений
Hello all,

Anyone have any idea of what these are?
Well, I was able to find some info on the text on the larger one.  On the back is "dissipa gentes quae bella volunt".  It is Latin and apparently roughly translates as "scatter the nations who want wars".  It seems it is also from Psalm 67 (68).
No clue on the token itself however :(

Hi! :)

The left one is a token from the Netherlands, minted under Charles V :)
It's referenced in the Dugniolle, n°1697 to 1702 :)

Do you need info on the quarter or was it just for comparison? :O
