Coin identification - Mughal?

4 сообщений
Could you help me?  I got this coin a few months back, and I haven't been able to find any information of its origin, age, etc.  It is about 21 mm and weighs around 7-8 grams.

I've been doing some more research, and I believe it may be a rupee from Shah Jahan.  Does anyone know if I am right?
Thats right. The reverse (1st image) has the emperor's name "Shah Jahan". Obverse (Second image ) has Kalima (La Allah Illa-allah, Mohamodun Rasool Allah). Looks like Surat mint KM#235.23

Thank you very much!
