Choice: higher catalogue value and rarity or nicer looking coin?

I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of these pretty cheaply recently

a 1905 in around F condition and a 1906 in VF

Now the 1905 has a lower mintage and even in F it has a higher catalogue value than the VF 1906.  But the 1906 just looks better, which would you go for?

I think we could be orientally for higher quality.
Because firstly, users need to find wright type of coin. And it is more easily when picture of coin is good quality=)

If it was a genuine key date in a series I'd go for the lower mintage but in this case as they are all relatively common, go for the VF.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
If it was so much I would keep both I have in some cases and continue to buy some.. My hometown issued a halfpenny.. I have one nice UNC, one F and have one coming which is UNC with a die crack.
I agree with p.
Tough call.  How big of a value spread are we talking here?
Besides that, do you collect as an investment or do you collect because you love the coins?
I think at this point, I'd keep the 1906.

The 1906 in VF is around $17.50, Not sure exactly what the F value of the 1905 is but VF is listed at $45 and the VG listed at $5 so my guess is it's around halfway in between putting it around $20-$25 for F
Keep both!
