My friend came across this coin (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17923.html) and we entered in a debate over the value of such coins. Im no expert and i did some research but came back empty handed... Then i found this great site and decided that ill give one last try and ask here. Any anwser would be much appreciated.
Its not a coin so much as a token (that is its not a recognised national token of currency). A value of 3 euros equates to about $2.50 US (roughly), but as a token it has no face value, rather it might be exchanged for goods and services within a complex where it was issued, or perhaps for plays on a coin machine. To a collector it might have value, depending on whether or not any one wished to buy it.
No biggie... Its still quite an interesting thing to have. Thanks!
