Does anyone know how much is price for UNC 1953 United Kingdom coins.

There's 9 coins:
1/2 penny
1 penny
farthing
three pence
six pence
one shilling (2 of them)
two shillings
half crown

They are not shiny, but are all 1953 UNC as i said. They have been kept in sealed plastic-looking thing.

Any idea what they might be worth or what would be a fair price to pay for them if buying?
I think is only fractionally more than any other year because the legend is different. To the right person quite a bit I would imagine that waiting until the queen either hits the longest serving or dies would be the best time to sell !

Hello KartWay, if you're looking to buy a set you should be able to pick one up fairly cheap. They are quite common and sell on eBay for anywhere between £4 & £8 - have a look here http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Elizabeth-II-1953c1971-/58525/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=unc+set&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc

Yea, I was offered one so was wondering if it was worth the price they were asking. Thanks everyone.
So don't keep us in suspense, how much were they asking?

10 euros

If they are intact UNC, book value would be about 44€…  If these were coins that I wanted to add to my collection, I wouldn't hesitate at 10€ ...

10 Euros is a little on the high side but if you're happy to pay that much then go ahead. If it was me, I would probably keep shopping around to find a better deal.

I offered him 8 eur and he gave with 8. I had 1953 ones missing from my collection anyway so for me  not so bad deal. Thank you very much for ur help lads.
8€ is a good deal, I'd be happy with that :)

Im quite happy too.
What is this book people quoyte values from all the time?
I see very often on valuation/identification threads people posting picture from the old-looking book that has all info about a certain coin.
Probably a silly question, but i would really like to know what book it is. If its an oki price, i'd love to get one....
Are you referring to what I posted .. ? If so, send a PM, if not don't ..   :°

The main reference work generally quoted is the Krause & Mishler Standard Catalogue of World Coins. It is published in several volumes by century (e.g. 1901-2000) and is updated on a regular basis. This is also where we get the KM# numbers that you will see being referred to.
