Is this fake? Isle of man 1976 Crown

Bought this yesterday, was in a box at a stall.. as £1 each. The lighting was bad at the time so I couldn't get a real good look at it, but as I got home i have suspicions. Not sure why, but it just looks odd. When I bought it, I thought it may have been polished a few times, and that had caused some damage, but now I suspect it is fake.

What do you think? Why is someone counterfeiting a cheap commemorative...

It is fake...poor wear on quite a bit and the Queen's portrait is awful.

Beats me. Oh well, I'm glad I didn't spend any more than a £ on it.

Perhaps they're honing their forging skills on something large and readily available before moving on to more expensive coins

There's not the PM (Pobjoy Mint) mark under the bust as on a real coin!

Hey there, you're a collector of counterfeit coins?
I don't mind swapping, check my exchange list and see if there is something else which interests you, because I would rather do large swaps to justify postage costs.
