F Brown's "Hold Fast" Toothbrush token

8 сообщений
Hi , This is my first post on here so not to sure how this works.
I have recently found a token for  F Brown's "Hold Fast" tooth brush.
On the other side from the advert is Britanniarum Rex Fidei Defensor
around a Crown with a Lion on top of it, and the initials F.B under the crown.

My question is - Would anyone know the age of this token?

Thanks for your time,
Lindsay B)
Hi Lindsay,
Welcome to Numista. Pictures of this token would really help. Definitely a King's reign...but need to see the token to determine which one.
Thanks for you fast reply.
I will have to do a bit of practice to learn how to post a photo on here.
At the moment what I am trying is not working.
I will carry on trying and see if it works. :D
HERE goes
Other Side

This is the other side
I'm going to stick my neck out and see it is Georgian (III). It is lovely but the hole has ruined it! Well done for getting the pictures up...you can even paste two pictures in one post!

It is a cool piece but in better condition it would be worth more. The hole takes it down I'm afraid.
I'd say it might be later, the reverse looks the same as a George IV 6d or shilling (except for the F.B.), so I'm thinking 1825 or later.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
Yes, that design is George IV you are right!
