France 50 centime 1873K

I would like to know the value of my 1873K French 50 Centime coin.
Mintage is only 166,000

I'd say it's on the verge of a very nice VF and a lower XF.

It's always better to look up the the value of French coins in Francophone catalogues. I don't have the latest Gadoury, but in the 2007 edition, this coin is estimated in TTB condition in 1500 Euro. I doubt that it became cheaper in the last 7 years, probably the contrary.

No I did not get it from a boot sale   but in a bulk buy of silver coins that averaged out to only NZ$4.60.
The price is very impressive but it stays in my collection.
