12. Most probably a token/medal. Depends on the size and metal.
It has the similar design as the Crown (Silver), 2 Pound (gold) and Sovereign (Gold).

12 looks like a Great Britain 2 pounds George IIII.  If it's real it should weigh 16 grams of gold and in that condition it could be worth up to $1,000.00!
1. I would have thought would be easier to find, with having REX twice on obverse, but cannot find it.

12 is definitely not gold and is a token, probably kids toy money
