ive found a coin/token thing its metal, non magnetic, eagle (wings spread) in the middle, four stars on each side (of one side of the coin/token) and the exact same on the other side; what is it?

I don't think that I could help you, but I really think that pictures (of front and side), weight and diameter are needed...

From your description it sounds like mine below - is it the same size of 29mm ?
I have a few with Eurocoin London on, and I think they make tokens for vending machines etc.
All mine are non-magnetic and brass-coloured.

Here are three more from the same company, to show others they do ...
Picture 2 (like Picture 1) is the same both sides, and Picture 4 has two horizontal grooves.

I would say yes. Also I noticed that those four of mine above do not have a value on them; and if it were not for the London on them there would not be a country of issue.

P.S. I see they are still trading, and have been going for over 30 years. They have standard tokens, or can be made to order. They make them from high quality brass or nickel-silver alloys. Their site is ...

 On that page their Products (and pictures) section at the end shows  Eagle 'No Cash Value' Token  or Eurocoin London Token  or  Starburst Token. So the Eagle is slightly different from my Picture 1, though the Eurocoin and Starburst are the same as my Pictures 2 and 3; so I guess they no longer make the one in my Picture 4 - though I have not looked into their site, just that front page. Thanks :)

P.P.S. I was looking just now for a No Cash Value token as I was sure I had one like theirs somewhere (must have sold it) but I did find another Eurocoin one - this too is not on their site I think, and the edge is thinner than the main part of the token. As per Pictures 5 and 5a below. Oh, and this one is magnetic.
