Hello all,
I've been doing density tests on all of my gold and silver and I've found that one of my coins that has been straddling the line between genuine and questionable has done it again.
It is a gothic florin that weighs in around .05g under and now I've found that, after performing a density test, the percent error is around 5% off.
I've tested other coins and they're all coming in around 1% nothing more than 2%. Would this be cause for alarm? What tolerance do you allow when checking the density of coins?
Thanks much
