Coin Identifications

9 сообщений
Hi, I have 2 coins I am having trouble identifying. The first is Israeli. An Israeli collector told be he does not know what it is and I would appreciate any help anyone has to give.
The second is a Chinese coin. I know it is from the empire and I know it has a value of "2". I am looking at the Krause catalog and I cannot identify the markings it has against the markings in the Krause catalog. Is there a way to identify which ruler a Chinese coin is? How do I upload a .pdf image? Sorry.
Last, is there an easy way to distinguish brass from copper? Again, thanks,
Paul

you can make printscreen of your pdf picture, then convert the .BMP picture in .JPG by using Paint or any other picture manager software.

There are some specific elements that are present on Israeli coins but this is not a real Israeli coin. It's a fantasy coin or some kind of token.

First side has written shalom and second one Israel. So I think you got some peace (1 shalom).
Ok Andy, That must be why I can't find it. I will keep it just out of the curiosity of it.
I appreciate your help.

Actually it's listed on numista as token.  :O

Hi Andy,
My extra coins are a bit low right now but I am always up for a trade.
