Good morning folks,

Pretty sure origin is Spain, but cannot further identify what it is. It weighs 26.9 grs.. Can use some help on this one.

Thanks in advance...  Dan
I wouldn't discount Holland/Netherlands as a possibility Dan, I think I have seen Zeeland coins that look similar.
I am sure there is someone who will jump in soon with a definite answer though.
I deny nothing but doubt everything, opinions are made to be changed, how else is the truth to be gotten at.

It's a Spanish monetary weight.

Thanks guys!

Is there any collectible value attached to something like this.

Regards...  Dan
Hello, Dan

Yes, the monetary weights (in Spanish: ponderales) are collectibles. They are valued, like coins, for their rarity and grade. The standard catalog for Spanish ponderales is a book by Mateu y Llopis.

I think this ponderal of 8 reales is in VG. If it isn't rare (I don't know), the value maybe between 25 and 50€.
