Hi
Can anyone ID this coin ?
I mostly collect post 1600 coin so this one is way out of my league.
Is it authentic ?
How much is it worth ? Someone is trying to sell this to me.
Thank you
Yes, it's a Macedonian coins with Philip II (King of Macedonia, 315-294 BC) and on the other side is the head of Apollo. I can't say from those images if it's genuine but it should weight around 2.5 g
I'm sorry but those are all the pics that were shown to me. He doesn't have any way to weigh it tho.
I'm assuming it's copper right ?
Is there any site that clearly shows the variants of such coins ? All the sites i found were really vague and incomplete (i think) since i couldn't find this coin with the dolphin or arrowhead below the horse (which one is it ?). Maybe this coin is too worn to tell.
Also, is there any place that shows a price (like Krause) ? I've looked through completed ebay auctions and coins sorta similar to this were sold anywhere from 6$ to 60$ and i can't really tell why such huge differences.  B.
Looking better seems I was wrong initially, your coins looks more like this one.

Description:
Philipp II of Macedonia, AR One-fifth Tetradrachm or Tetrobol. 2.40 gr,
14.17 mm. Uncertain mint in Thessalia. 359-336 BC.
Thank you for the information.
I didn't buy it in the end. It doesn't seem to worth the money he was asking (20EUR aprox) + transport fees. The coin's condition isn't very good and i'm not that much into ancients to buy it.
