Brazilian Medal [решено]

Hello I have a medal from Brazil that I got from an Auction Lot which I cant fully Identify, partially because of my not so great Portuguese.
I found the medal on some Brazilian sites but the information was limited and some I just could not understand.

Medal in Bronze, weight 63.5 gr and diameter 61mm

Can someonetellme what this medal is exactly commemorating? (Only thing I can understand is that it commemorates 100 years of Brazilian Independence).

Also, does someone know the approximate valueof this medal? (I couldn´t find any sales results nor any indicated values)

Hope to find some Brazillian experts to help me out.

Thanks in Advance,

Paul

The medal commemorates 100 years of independence, but not of Brazil (it became independent in 1822). It celebrates independence of one of 27 Brazil's states - Pará
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pará
The ship on the medal maid a voyage in 1923-1924 from the capital of this state Belém to Rio de Janeiro in 39 days 22 hours. The names on reverse are those of men on the ship.
So actually it's this voyage that this medal commemorates, not the state's independence itself.
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
Thanks Andrey that clears up what I wanted to know and all the points I didn't understand :)
