Don't really know anything about british War medals so can't help with valuation.

You can buy a replacement ribbon online. Many war medals are sold with replacement ribbons and I don't think it actually makes a massive difference to the value. Just make sure you buy the correct ribbon as per the Wikipedia link!
Not worth too much, however, even if in better shape and with a ribbon. Had a quick look on eBay and they seem to be selling for only USD 12 or so. Highest priced one is about USD 35 (silver, no ribbon), but most are priced at the low end of the range (probably cupronickel).

Quite right - I did this three years ago for a member ... https://en.numista.com/forum/topic7785.html
and actually, I just now I clicked on that old 2012 link in my first reply on that topic, and it still goes to a list of eBay sellers with that ribbon I ordered; so you can see I guess any ribbon should be available.
EDIT: How spooky - I looked again, and see it is the same medal, so the ribbon is the same, so that link I just mentioned can be used to buy a ribbon - if needed!
P.S. Make sure to order the right width of ribbon, as it comes in at least two widths!
