Which KM-number: 1 new shekel Israel

6 сообщений
I can't find the KM# number of this coin. Who could help?

Also I don't find any difference between photos of #160 and #197... Do I need some new glases?
I prefer to trade on basis of actual market value, maybe Krause-Mishler World Coins Catalog and NGC, european standard currency maybe on face value, silver for silver coins, old for old, high value for high value - we should first make bargain.
The KM# of this 1 new sheqel 1988 is KM# 197:

Who knows, maybe you need some new glasses: the obverse is almost the same, but the reverse is clearly different:
- on the KM# 160 there is no "new sheqel" straight under the denomination but alongside the rim under the denomination.
- on the KM# 197 there is Hebrew text alongside the rim under the denomination
- on the KM# 160 the "1" is much bigger and more in the center
(unfortunately in the digital 2015 Krause edition there is no picture of the KM# 160, otherwise I had put them next to each other and then you could see the difference on the reverse very well.
I don't know if I am missing something but looking at KM#160 and KM#197 there appears to be quite drastic differences unless I have the wrong two KM Numbers/links

Thanks for help. So I believe in numista photo of #197 is wrong (shows 160)...

Okay, now I understand why you thought you needed new glasses. I didn't check the Numista pictures, I looked at the Krause.
The picture in Numista for KM# 197 indeed is wrong, that's a KM# 60 picture.

Looks like I am the one who needs glasses, I should have enlarged the images before stating the drastic differences z) (I googled both types and then simply linked to the Numista pages as reference)

Well spotted.
