Lundy Islands coin/token

8 сообщений
I have been given a Lundy Islands coin/token which is not listed on the Numista website.
It is a half puffin dated 1977.
Should it be listed as a coin or token?

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
For all you banknote collectors. Link to my swap list.

These are the restrikes, I think.

exactly that !
Yeah, the only genuine ones were the ones struck in 1927 with the writing round the edge. There were later restrikes that didn't have the edge writing too.
Hmmm you may consider the 1st restike series as tokens?

They were all really tokens. Issued by a guy with an ego who owned his own island, but Lundy uses the UK pound I believe.
My 1st opinion is to remove all pseudo-nations with a X# only, but it seems the debate to define a country didn't serve to anything, moreover I said there is a Numisdoc in French defining what can appear as a country...

All tokens however I wouldn't want this or other restrikes to be lumped together with the original issue.itll all be sorted soon :)
