As I have done for the last 55+ years I hope to continue my coin collecting obsession for another year and have started 2016 with this small challenge.
Ottoman, probably Constantinople - only half visible on upside down side A .
On side B it sorta says Murad (which would make it Murad IV). It might just be the severe hangover but it feels like something is wrong about this identification and the coin might read "Mehmed bin Murad" which would make the coin that of Mehmed III (son of Murad III). Zeno is not being very helpfull, they have severely worn coins too.

Roy, I'm just wondering: what do you collect? You have so many cool coins for ID on this forum but on your profile it says that you only collect a few countries...

I used to collect coins by date AND by type and then decided to reduce my collection by collection a selection of countries by date AND type and the rest of the world by TYPE.
I just love coins and the Internet has enabled me to share my passion with people around the world.
I stand by my (hungover) assessment of it very likely being of Mehmed son of Murad, so Mehmed III. We can sorta see the ascension year as 10xx which would also correspond with Mehmed III's.
