After reading a recent Free Discussion topic (
https://en.numista.com/forum/topic46187.html ) I have revisited my 1860 Farthing.....
Using this Website (
http://british-coin-price-guide.homelinux.com/Farthing-Coin-Price-Guide_files/Page794.htm ), I have determined that I have a Toothed Border on both sides, but there are many faults on the obverse lettering of my Farthing: O in Victoria, D in D.G., second T in BRITT, E in REG, and the F in F:D:.
Is my Farthing fake? Does this year have numerous strike varieties?
Any help would be kindly appreciated.

Thanks muygrandeoso.
Closest I can get is Reverse 2 and Obverse E.
Still doesn't explain all the other broken letters and on closer inspection the G in Farthing is broken too.
I'll keep looking and hope the Numista gang can keep the help coming.

Broken letters are more the symptom of... an error coin maybe?

Yes, it is likely a result of worn or over-polished dies.

I have never seen one with that many broken letters. You either have an extremely rare error coin or it is down to some unusual wear.
certainly an interesting find.

Thanks for all your help gang (pnightingale in particular).
I have put this in its correct KM# (yes I'm a Newb) and will do some further research on error varieties.
Very much appreciated!!
