Hi !
What's the difference between https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces52738.html and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4255.html ? Or is this the same coin ?
Kind regards
Tony

I think it's the same coin.
The first link is with the C# 83 reference, like it was in the Krause SCOW 1801 - 1900, 6th edition.
My guess is that this coin got a KM# number in the later version of Krause (7th or 8th edition), like in your second link and the difference in reference number is the cause of two entries.
Is there anyone with a 7th or 8th edition who can verify if there is a KM# number attached to that coin instead of a C# number?
Its the same coin, there is however a very simmilar coin butthats the more scarce 5 centesimi1859 from the state of Emilia.

I have Krause 7th edition, and there's only a C number. That's what started my question.

There is already a Krause 8th edition. Maybe the KM# number comes from there.
Anyone who already has this 8th edition to check?
Looks like its a Numista catalogue mistake, the KM#6 one was probably meant to be Italian States Emilia KM#6 https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/italian-states-emilia-5-centesimi-km-6-1859-cuid-193411-duid-421443

Yes, it's probably a Numista catalogue mistake.
Speaking of Tuscany Provisional Government issue, would anybody be interested in buying my 5 Centesimi coin?

I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.

That would explain the difference in mintage figures BUT there is no Emilia 5 centesimi 1859 in Krause.

Continued research :
In Krause SCWC 1801-1900 7th ed. there is Emilia KM6 : 5 centesimi 1859 (e)(f)
so I guess this coin should have mint mark next to date
(e) : rose (f) lion's head

I hope anybody can confirm with pictures.

Oh. I have the Krause SCWC 1801-1900 6th edition, and there is no mention of the Emilia coin.
But if I understand correctly, the coin is mentioned in the 7th edition but without pictures?

Hi guys, just came across this in the catalog. I found that the Emilia KM#6, Tuscany KM#6, and Tuscany C#83 are all the same. The NGC page at the following link for Emilia says "Prev. Tuscany C#83". They are all one and the same. I will post in the referee forum to have them all combined into one. My guess is that we should keep the Emilia one, because it USED to be Tuscany? Any ideas on this?

Thanks, Nathan
This is a 5 centesimi for the RE ELETTO period (1859-1861)
The coin has the mint mark of the lily and the lion's head for the Birmingham Mint.

In this period (1859-1861) to the territories of the Kingdom of Sardinia are added Bologna (June 1859), the provinces of Romagna and Tuscany in September 1859.
In 1861 it will be proclaimed the kingdom of Italy

This is the only one that exists and it should be under Tuscany http://numismatica-italiana.lamoneta.it/moneta/W-REE/5
it would be good to add in the notes of that file that the Emilia one does not exist and is a mistake from Krause
