James I Shilling

I have a heavily clipped James I Shilling. It seems thicker than the other hammered coins in my collection, but they are all smaller denominations. Are high denomination hammered coins usually this thick or is this a forgery?

I have a Robert II (of Scotland) Groat that is slightly thinner than this James I Shilling.
