Unique!
You can't find any other Portuguese Escudo 1807 on internet with a so ridiculous low mintage. Even the Numista file is a pale imitation :D
And with the standard Mozambique countermark it's just unbelievable, amazing (8

The stamp “M” was applied in Mozambique during the reign of King José only in the year 1760.
It has been applied to silver coins (3 Vintens + 6 vintens from Lisbon and over 600 reis/1755 from Brazil)
It has also been applied to gold coins from Lisbon (Pinto/1720 + ½Escudo/1758 + 4.000 Reis/#dates)
The value of the gold coins is from 280€ to 600€.
If applied on coins with date >1760 is a fraud.
The original coin in this case is 1 Escudo (1600 Réis/1807). It is a rare coin with a value between 1500 and 3000€.
Therefore, this coin cannot, according to the law (Bando 1760), have this mark.
The size of the stamp is 5.5 mm.
Can you please post an image with better definition?
