Mintage was only 552,000, and NGC/Krause gives a catalog value of $850 in VF:

At that price, I would be concerned about counterfeits, depending on how you acquired the coin. The sort of pebbly surface of the coin looks suspicious to me, although I am very much a novice at identifying counterfeits.
As for grade, I would have said VF based on the reverse, but grading of British coins is quite strict and I'm not very familiar with these earlier coins.
