please to help with market price, condition (I think F+) and how it rare this UK shilling

Posting mainly so I get email updates, as I am interested in what others say.

Mintage was only 552,000, and NGC/Krause gives a catalog value of $850 in VF:

At that price, I would be concerned about counterfeits, depending on how you acquired the coin. The sort of pebbly surface of the coin looks suspicious to me, although I am very much a novice at identifying counterfeits.

As for grade, I would have said VF based on the reverse, but grading of British coins is quite strict and I'm not very familiar with these earlier coins.

I think it's probably a fake although I haven't checked it up the surface and date isn't very good.

Because of the pitting on the surface of the coin, the condition of the edge and the date itself, I would probably say it's a cast fake?
