Israel - 1 Agora - Year 5720 (1960) lettering discrepancy

Hi,

I recently bought a few Israeli coins and I'm struggling to decipher the date on my coin.

On the Numista coin sheet it says the year 5720 has the lettering <תש״כ>. However, in my old edition of Krause catalogue it lists the year 5720 as being written <תש״ד>. My coin appears to have the version from the Krause catalogue written on it. So should I be listing it as 5720, or as another date entirely?

<תש״כ> is correct for 5720 (1960 AD).

<תש״ד>is correct for 5704 (1944 AD).

Charlie, it's more likely that you're getting the symbols confused. Is your coin from 1970 / 5730 (תש״ל) instead?
