Coin from China

Any help I could get in starting to figure out what this coin is.

Possibly a silver 10 cents from Kwangtung (Guangdong) Province, Republic of China.
On the reverse there are seven symbols on the top, between the stars. They are running backwards, so reading anti-clockwise from the star on the right, the first four symbols I do not know. Then the last three symbols look like  10  8 Year  - so it is the 18th Year in the reign, making it 1929 I think.
On Numista I now see that for that Province there are just four coins (Y# 417, 417a, 423, 426) which are 1 cent, 1 cent, 20 cents, 20 cents. So there are currently no 10 cents shown, so it is probably missing. I do see that one of the 20 cents shown does have a similar portrait to your coin also ...

Having written all the above, I now think it is Y# 425 and the portrait is Sun Yat-sen though please check!
