10 soldi 1866

8 сообщений
Hi,
I'm a metal detectorist from Scotland and today I found a 10 soldi silver coin with a little hole in it indicating that someone must have worn it around their neck at one time. It's clearly dated 1866 but your reference to this coin in your database clearly says it was minted between 1867 to 1869.
What is the significance of this?
Thanks
F

What about this one? Could this be it?

Hi, yes it is this coin but the one I found is clearly dated 1866. The year before it was supposed to have been minted.

Maybe you just missed it, but there is an 1866 listing on the link given above your post by Scotty...
There is indeed. My apologies. It looked very like another page on this site that said 1867-69. Question answered. Thanks folks. (nearly said guys there and you never know)
