Bust and Harp Brass Imitation Ca 1830, Dated 1820

Brief History: In 1825, Great Britain currency regulations were passed forbidding the importation of private tokens into Canada. However, nothing in the new regulations interfered with importing of tokens dated before 1825. These tokens were very popular with the Irish immigrants of Lower Canada.

I picked this item up at the local antique market for a toonie.

Brass, 5.03g, 27.52 mm, coin alignment, plain edge
Everything matches nicely with my Charlton Colonial Catalog (pg. 161). Except, the obverse matches LC-60E2 and the reverse LC-60E1.

I took this to the local scrap yard and they confirmed it was brass using their XRF gun.

My question being: "Is this token a one-of-a-kind?"

I would be grateful for any help.

I only have the 6th edition (2006) and I came to the same conclusion, i.e. that you have the E2 obverse with the E1 (10 strings) reverse.

Because this series is very confusing with all these little variations, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a mistake on the part of the cataloguers (misplaced picture or something like that).

One way to check would be to go in Google images and look for all the "E" Bust & Harp tokens: search "LC-60E1" and "LC-60E2" and compare the obv./rev.

EDITED:
Interestingly, this one on pickclick/ebay seems to have been wrongly identified as LC-60C1, while I believe it's an LC-60E1 or 2 with 10 strings like yours. I suppose the dealer got confused because of the mismatch in the catalogue. This would support my theory of a mistake in the catalogue.

A second opinion would be welcome ─ anyone?

Thanks for your help.

As per your links, mine is certainly not "one-of-a-kind". I found another like mine on the SOLD listings.

Looks like most people are defaulting to the reverse # of strings (which really is how my catalog reads) even though the obverses have plenty of differences.

Oddly enough, I found several others that were identified incorrectly.

Also, not many slabbed examples(?).

Keeps those ideas/opinions coming!!
