Could be a Japanese token ... it reads Taiei/Daiei.
Probably a Pachinko token but were it's realy from I have no clue I found anything from a container manufacturer to a country club with that name.

I suspect the writing on this side of the coins means "6 Shu", where Shu is the currency (like Dollar or cent). The problem is that the coin looks way to modern to be of that currency, so Idolenz is probably more acurate with his translation. Please post an image of the other side of the coin also.
