1910 founded Agnes Wolffson in Norderstraße a workers home. The Martha-Helene-Heim, which was named after Agnes Wolffsons deceased sisters, offered 60 working women accommodation in single rooms as well as participation in teaching courses, which should serve to promote general education. On 3 August 1914 Agnes Wolfsson established in Martha-Helene-Heim a first Hamburger war kitchen.
