That means "silver" in Japanese, so the coin is obviously made of silver. These were punched in the late 1800's and are really common as for the punch marks. Y#5.

I don't concern about the chops and I know that GIN is silver, but my question concerns the coin itself. Is it genuine or the chops mark the fake just to deceive the collector?

Apparently the coin made of silver and it shows a natural well-patinated color. As to angular relationship between the obverse and reverse sides, some die rotation is obvious, which probably common for these coins.
