Hi all, have just acquired this 'school bank' note, and was wandering if anyone's ever seen one before, as I certainly haven't. It almost looks as if there is a stamp with the swastika and eagle on, on the other side it says phillip and tacey ltd. fulham, london, S.W.6. Best wishes, Tom.
Very interesting. Looks like some kind of promissory note for use at the school.

Philip & Tacey is a school supply store / company which started around 1829. Here is a link to some further history : https://gw2gold87.wordpress.com/2012/04/05/the-philip-tacey-history/

Possibly used for the old squirrel bank accounts that we used to have over here (or whatever the UK equivalent was)
Some college and high school classes used notes such as this in accounting and finance classes..
