Mexico 1842 octavo fake?

I found this very worn coin. It matches Mexican 1842 octavo real on one side in having Liberty seated facing right holding a lance. But the other side gives denomination as un octavo and date 1842. Genuine coins indicate denomination as octavo de real. Does anyone know anything about this possible fake? Thanks for your assistance.
