This is what I think is the right orientation:
I'm not even sure of that 100% (though close) since I can't recognize a single word for sure. I would suggest to look at Mughal coins from India, 16th century or thereabout. This is a guess based on the fact that legends on many Mughal issues were more than 50% off-flan. At the top of the first photo we have a word that seems to end with the ن (= "N") letter (on the left since you read right to left). Other symbols look more like numbers than letters, and perhaps ─just perhaps─ the bottom word on the second picture is "year" (سنة).
But there are some good Numista people who know a lot about these coins. I hope that they'll pay attention now that this post is back at the top, or near the top!
