Ottoman 10 Para year 1293 - bronze or silver?

6 сообщений
Well, Numista catalog page (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces16277.html) says silver but the one I got is made of bronze (and I'm right about identification, it's the only one that matches with the drawings).
Can someone answer this question? Thanks.
(P.S.: tell me if you need photos)
It's made in Bronze with a light taste of Silver (10%)

Numista page says "Silver (.100)"

Thanks.
But then the metal on the coin page shouldn't be bronze with 10% silver? (Sorry if it's a noob question)

No, it's not a noob question. There are more people who find it strange that a coin with only 10% silver in it, is listed as silver. But I suppose it is some sort of tradition that as soon as you mix silver in your alloy, you can call it silver.

And what strange... Whan can we do on the catalog to prevent this confusion? Simply adding the other material resolves?
Anyways, original question solved, thanks to all.
