Kornwestheim Commemorative token ID please

Can anyone shed any light on this German token, please (I have no interest in its financial 'worth' only what it is).
Obviously it commemorates 1200 years of the city of Kornwestheim in Germany, and it looks to have been issued in 1981, but I can find no references to it online.

51 mm diameter
3.5 mm thickness
Material Bronze (some form of copper-based alloy)

What do you mean by "tourist token"? Is this a token (medallion) regularly sold in a museum in Kornwestheim? Are they still sold? Was it a specially produced anniversary token? Do you have some more detailed information please?
