Recently I was given some coins from my late grandfather's collection.
If anyone can help me out with what they are and maybe the values I would be grateful.
All I know is what he wrote on the packages at the time he bought them
1. 1850 1/2 Penny Token - Graded VF but I can't tell from the picture; $10 Cdn
2. 1888 Cent - Graded G; $3 Cdn
3. 1859 Cent - Graded VF but I would grade lower than this, say F; $12 Cdn
For #3, there are many different varieties which all increase the value. If you remove it from the flip and take better pictures (closer with plenty of light) I may be able to identify as one of these varieties.
Most collectors for these coins, myself included, would be looking for better grades.
Options:
Keep them for their sentimental value. Many of us on this site have just such coins.
Pass them on to great grandchildren. Who knows, perhaps you have a budding numismatist in the family!!
Take them to a local coin dealer. He/she may give you a few dollars for them but, not anywhere near the prices I have quoted.
Kind Regards, Peter
P.S. Prices are quoted from 2015 Charlton Standard Catalogue.

PetrusAscanus beat me to it, CoinsandCanada is a great site for identification and for book values.
Those are some really nice coins. If it were me I'd hold on to them for the personal connection, but as Peter said you could also take them to a local shop and get them checked out there.
