Hi !
This one has been in my collection for over 30 years now, time to find out what it is...
I've been searching numista catalog for hours, but didn't find it.
weight 1.77grams, diameter 25mm (at largest), thickness 0.9mm
For you specialists it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes before I get an answer
Just looked a little closer at the pictures, it's not the same yet : the form of the flames is totally different. So what is it : different mint, different period, ... ?
You must keep in mind that these coins are hand sruck.
When the die is worn, a new one was made, so some details were different.
I think that is the case here.
It will be a rarety to find two coins from that period that are exact-exact the same.
I was searching for another coin, and by coincidence I saw yours....
Non est totum quod splendet ut aurum
Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
Regarding the size of your coin, it's indeed a "blanc" who imitates the ones made by the french kings (Charles VII, Louis XII...) during this period. It was not uncommun at this time : it was easier for these lords to have their money accepted everywhere.
As Petrus said, this one is from Dombes (we can easily recognise it from the slanting line who cross the coat of arms), however if we have a look at the beginning of the observe legend, we can read the name of the ruler.
Here we can see "?ETRVS" instead of "IHES", so this coin was made under "Pierre II de Bourbon".
